Memoirs of Mid-Autumn Festival

Today is the 15th day of the 8th month of Lunar calendar, this is the day which Chinese celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival. During this celebration, Chinese kids like to carry brightly lit lantern under the fullmoon light. I used to do that with the kids in my neighbourhood when I was young, it's really really a sweet sweet time!

During my time, most of the lanterns are made of nicely painted paper, an adjustable metal plate to hold the candle and copper wire for you to hang on a stick. The lanterns come in many shapes, there're square, oval, rounded, .etc. Whereas, those lanterns made of plastic with small bulb to light on are not that common and is not cheap.

As time goes by, the lanterns design become more and more keh si than my olden days. During this festival, you can easily find a cartoon lantern than can play music. There're even lantern that can blow bubbles. On top of this, something draw my attention, look at this.

Heck, they even fix LED lights for the paper type of lantern =.= You just need to turn the switch on and off, instead of putting in the candle and light it. I don't how about you, for me I still prefer to light on with candle though you may say LED light is safer for kids.

Sanga Japanese Food

Whisper: Pictures here are courtesy of Oocean because I've yet to get myself a new camera =(

I have spotted this restaurant sometimes ago and always wanted to come here, but sik jadi. I have also read about it from somewhere, the comments for this restaurant are not bad. And, finally I visit to this restaurant on last Friday.

The restaurant is located at Jalan Chan Chin Ann shophouses near Pizza Hut. In fact, this restaurant is same with the Sanga Japanese Food Stall at Tun Jugah food court.

Before you walk in to the restaurant, you will find a wide selections of sake displayed at the entrance. When you walked into the restaurant, you will still find lots of sake displayed on the shelves. It seems like they have lots of sake.

Apart from those sake, you will find a lot of cute Japanese dolls displayed on the shelves too. They also provide some comics and magazines for you to read while waiting for the food to be served.

This is the sushi bar at Sanga, where the sifu will make your favourite sushi.

They have various choices of ala carte menu, sushi and set meals. However, I couldn't find any Okonomiyaki (Japanese Pizza) from their menu (or I've overlook...hmmm? O.o) After browse through the menu, I ordered a set lunch for myself which cost me RM8.00. I chosed to have Chicken Teriyaki Ramen served with green tea (psst....is free flow) from the set lunch menu. Tell me, where you can get such a good offer?

Chicken Teriyaki Ramen

And, have you notice what I've ordered? Yes, is ramen. If you always visit Japanese restaurant in Miau Miau town, you will know that not every Japanese restaurant here serves ramen, rather is very few. So now, I have another place to choose when I crave for ramen.

Beef Teriyaki Ramen

If you want to have something not too heavy, you can order their Children Happy Meal, hiak!

Children Happy Meal RM10.00

Chuka Lidoka (Baby Octopus) Rm6.00

Generally, I'm quite satisfy with their customer service. The staff are friendly and you will never run out of green tea in your cup.

Edamame RM4.00

California Make RM15.00

After we pay our meal, the lady hand us a member card which entitles us for some discount during our next visit. ^___^

Stupid Cashier

Have you ever experienced when you are paying for your grocery at supermarket, the cashier just lump all the items into one plastic bag regardless is a wet item or dry item?

Sometimes, you may also find the cashier keep squeezing all your grocery into one plastic bag until the plastic bag looks so blob, sigh! (as if he/she can win the best cashier award by saving those plastic bags)

And today, I met another c2pid cashier =..= I've taken a Pringles Cheezums without price tag, so the cashier ask others to check for the price. Before I can stop her, she swung my Pringles Cheezums in the air and calling the other girl. Heck, my precious Pringles Cheezums!!!!!!!! T___T

Unpredictable Weather

The weather is getting warmer nowadays, especially in the month of June to July. If you refer to those expert analysis report, the average temperature of the earth is increasing over the years. For me, I found the weather sometimes is extremely hot until you hit me die I also don't want to leave the aircond room.

Sometimes I found the weather is quite siao also, the moment you see the sun still shines, next moment it rains cats and dogs. This can be very annoying if you plan to go outdoor.

Sometimes in some areas even had 'ice rain', weird huh? Unfortunately, I don't have any photo to show.

However, there's one thing I can assure you that it is not weird, not siao and predictable for a Malaysian - the HAAAaaaaZE.

Now you see, now you don't

Every year, you will find the haze visits our country in the month of August which I think we can declare August as Bulan Jerebu Melawat! (Fortunately, this year the haze wasn't so bad.)

My Poor Baby Camera

My poor Canon IXUS 400 (I know is old enough, shuddap) 'merajuk' to work since last week. It turns the focus to nothing but black screen only. At first, I thought I may have turn on some settings but unfortunately is not =(

So, I have no choice but to bring the camera to one of the well-known authorised dealer in town. I hope they can help me to identify the problem. From the conversation with the salesman, following are the 3 main points of my faulty camera:

- need to send to KL to fix
- must pay RM50 for delivery cost
- suspect my camera focus unit broke down which will cost about RM300 to replace the faulty part

Thinking of the points mentioned, my itchy mouth asked the salesman for some new models and pricing. After the sweet and flowery hu-ha talks by the salesman, I'm struggling now =S

And, before I left the shop ...

me: "Let me think about it first ... "
salesman: "Still need to think mer?? "
me: "Of course I need to think laa, you thought I'm buying grocery at supermarket arr? "
(keh si you free one for me lor @#$#$&%^*!)
