After eating all the heaven food, Oocean took out 2 cake boxes, one for me, one for Kenopi. "Yes, got birthday cake to eat!" I whispered inside my heart.

One Hot Chocolate To Keep You Warm

The weather in Kuching has turned cold lately (I know is not as cold as winter), it's the raining season again.

During these rainy days, is good to have a cup of hot chocolate to keep your body warm. It is also a nice moment to lay back, relax and chit chat with your pals.

Waiting passionately for my hot chocolate

There are many places in Kuching that serve hot chocolate. However, there's only one place that serve hot chocolate in a unique way and this place is gonna be the Caffe Cino at Hilton.

Hot Chocolate RM7.00++, Marshmallow RM3.50++ per 25g

The hot chocolate at Caffe Cinno comes in a mug of hot milk, a tiny jug of milk and a glass of chocolate rolls. You will have to dip the chocolate roll into the hot milk and stir until the chocolate roll is dissolved. Or, if you want to have more special way of having your hot chocolate, allow me to suggest you to bite the chocolate rolls, take a sip of the hot milk and shake your body (I'm just kidding, but if you are doing this, let me know ^__^).

Turkey Ham Panini RM15.00++

Besides the hot chocolate, the panini at Caffe Cino taste pretty good as well. The panini is served with some corn chips, wasabi sauces and preserved tomato. There's a thick layer of shredded cheese and turkey ham in the middle. When I first bite on panini, I melt, I feel like to hug the panini tightly, ergghhhh~~~~ sinful ~~~ sinful ~~~ sinful ~~~

LL Banana Leaf South Indian Food

I must admit that I'm not a fan of Indian food, the most I take are roti canai and rojak india. Not only I hardly take nasi beriyani once in a year, I can't even remember when is the last time I took nasi beriyani. =P

However, someone craved for nasi beriyani, so we went to Banana Leaf to have our lunch. Banana Leaf is located at Rubber Road and is not far from the Old Rex Hey Pia.

Nasi Beriyani Ayam Goreng (Fried Chicken) RM6.00

I ordered a nasi beriyani ayam goreng for myself. It was served with some vegetables and papadum (spicy Indian cracker). The rice turns out to be a bit dry but it still taste good, especially the aroma of the spice, gulp~~~

Later, I took a sip of Oocean's mutton curry. And know what? I couldn't help but requested some kuah (gravy) from the waitress and mixed with my nasi beriyani. The gravy tastes too good not to take laa!

Nasi Beriyani Daging Kambing (Mutton) RM7.00

While we are having our lunch there, I can see some people have their food served on banana leaf instead of plate. The waiter will then come over with a tray of dishes and scoop the dishes onto the banana leaf. Afterthat, they start to feed the food into their mouth with their bare hand >..< (huhuhuh ... I believe they did wash their hands).

Roti Tisu with strawberry syrup RM3.00 (Is it a bit pricely? I'm not sure)

Afterall, I would say a visit to Banana Leaf has changed my eating, I will include it into my lunch list next time.

A Grasping Chair

I read this from newspaper during lunch break just now. It's a chair designed by Mexican artist. It's one of the auction items in New York.

The palm molests you or you molest the palm?

I wonder what's the feeling of sitting on this chair? Imagine some is grasping your ass like this?

Spongy Blueberry Tart

This morning my colleague passed a cake box to me, which is actually from another colleague. He is giving away cakes for his baby daughter 'full moon', instead of the traditional red coloured eggs and ang ku kueh.

Blueberry tart

It was just nice for me at that time, because I yet to have my breakfast (ok, I admit I overslept this morning, again! ~>..<~). I made a cup of milo, sat down and start to munch the cake. I thought it was a normal butter cake, but it wasn't.

See, I press down the topping with my spoon

It's a spongy blueberry tart!!! I don't how to describe the blueberry tart in words, it's so heaven especially the spongy topping, errgghhhh~

Afterthat, it toink back again...hehehe

One Cent

Our government has announced to fully implement the rounding mechanism to the nearest 5 cents for over-the-counter payments by 1st April 2008. It was believed that the implementation would benefit both consumers and businesses.

In my humble opinion, we pay one or two cents extra for some bills while saving one or two cents in another bill, the prices even out eventually. So, I don't see much benefits or impacts for consumers except we don't have to carry around the one cent coins. Perhaps it will help to reduce few grams from your wallet laa ... or you don't have to dig out one cent coins over the counter.

According to Bank Negara Malaysia's assistant governer Datuk Mohd Nor Mashor, countries such as Australia, Denmark, Finland, New Zealand and Singapore had successfully implemented the mechanism. Let's us hope it will turn out well in Malaysia too, ummm..Malaysia Boleh!!! maaa~ However, a question for us to ponder upon....what if .... what if the retailers exploit the mechanism and tag the items end with 3, 4, 8 and 9 cents so that they can round up to the nearest multiple of 5 cents?

Afterall, what would you do with your one cent coins from now onward as it will be phased out gradually? Spend all the one cent coint you have? Frame up the one cent coins? Kept in your treasure box? Who knows hundred years later, it will be very valuable wor? =P

My Sweetie

I have adopted a cyber-pet from BunnyHero Labs, it's a hamster. I named it 'Sweetie' in remembrance of my hamster - Sweetie, which has run-away from home 2 years ago (wonder where he goes =..=).

My Lovely Sweetie

This animated widget allows us to mouse over to touch the hamster. We also can click on the hamster and place the hamster on the wheel. Then, we can see him having fun racing on the spin wheel. Or, we can click on the 'more' button to feed the hamster with strawberry.

It's so cool! ^___^

Building A Chopper From Junk

During the flight to Sibu, I came across this article about building a chopper from junk. There's a 24 years old physics undergraduate from Nigeria - Mubarak Muhammad Abdullahi, uses pieces of old cars and motorbikes in the back yard at home and builds his own helicopter from parts.

According to him, the helicopter is powered by a second hand Honda Civic car engine and kitted out with seats from an old Toyota saloon car. While other parts come from the carcass of a Boeing 747 which crashed near Kano some years ago.

Abdullahi stands next to his four-seater helicopter

All these sound impressive to me and I would just say this guy is so smart , so brilliant and so creative (but not until i have a crash on him yet laa, bleeekkk! =P). However, he said the government response to his chopper project has been underwhelming. Sorry to hear that. =(

Afterthat, I started to think: What if this guy is from Malaysia? What if the project is funded by Malaysia government? What if the project is sponsored by Perodua and Proton (since that Nigerian guy uses Honda and Toyota parts)? How would the helicopter looks like?

And here, I proudly present to you the master piece of my imagination, taa-lang~~

Cool huh?!
