Why Men Like To Shake Their Legs?

I've wondering this for quite some times, don't get offended if you are reading this entry, I'm just curious. I noticed that men like to shake their leg whenever they're in sitting position (somemore a lot patterns). Any reason why it's so?

Whenever I go to food court, conference, dinner reception, restaurant, .etc as long as there're places to sit down (don't tell me there're people shake their leg in standing position -.-), I can see them naturally start shaking their legs after they sit down for a while. For me this is no big deal laa, just curious.

However, sometimes this can be very annoying if you happen to sit together with those super shake one. Imagine when you are eating, the table tend to shake ~ shake ~ shake ~; Or, when you are sitting on a long bench, the whole bench just shake ~ shake ~ shake ~ =____=

Yesterday was a bright sunny Saturday and it was the 23rd of the month. So, can guess what I suppose to do. I HAVE TO GO KCPS TO QUEUE UP TO PURCHASE SEASONAL PARKING COUPON FOR MY VEHICLE AGAIN!!! Not only this is extra burden for us as a worker, this is really cho boh eng!!!

I was shocked when I reached there, I didn't know that place can be so crowded and long queue. However, after a deep thought, it's not surprise to see so many people queued up at KCPS. Why? This is because they only sell 30% quota of every identified parking bay for seasonal parking, it's very limited! Besides, over my conversation with others who have purchased the coupon, they complained the workers who process the purchase are very slow in job!

In their previous press statement, it was said that this regulation is to ensure 'a fair chance for the public to use limited spaces available'. I don't know whether this regulation is workable or not, I only know if you failed to get the seasonal parking, you have to survive parking illegally throughout the month, what the heck!

Maybe this is good for public who just dropped by to pay bill, you can easily get a parking space now. However, for us who work there, die lor ~ Unless you can hang your car on the tree or keep your car inside your pocket ;)

Today lunch is tasteless for me, not because the food is not nice but I just pay RM42 for the monthly seasonal parking. Imaging I've to pay for the same amount (who knows maybe more later) in the following months, years to come. =( Till the office moved or I moved, it is a burden for us as a worker.


Starting 1st February 2008, the parking bays of numerous commercial areas in Kuching will be incorporated into existing coupon parking system, namely King's Centre, Simpang Tiga Commercial Centre, Ibraco House Commercial Centre, Hui Sing Commercial Centre, Twin Tower Commercial Centre, Centre Park Phase 6, 7 and 9 Commercial Centre, Golden Arch Commercial Centre, Bormill Commercial Centre and Bangunan Binamas. It was said that these areas are having a growing number of daily visitors. (So means got good business opportunity?)

In a press statement, it was said that this regulation is to ensure 'a fair chance for the public to use limited spaces available' (Ya, right!). It was also said that this is to 'discourage long term parking' (Come on, these are commercial areas, people work there, if not park their cars there, then? Hang the cars on the trees?)

What Kind Of Parenting Is This?

I went to my music class last night. While I was waiting for my turn, I saw a mother with two maids and a kid came up. I thought maybe the mother just want to make sure everything is fine before she left her kid there (well, normally parents just drop their kids at the main entrance and their kids walk up to the classroom themselves).

However, my judgement was totally and completely wrong!!! I couldn't believe with my own eyes, not only the mother stayed back with the two maids until the class finished, the father of the kid also came up later. So, the parents + 2 maids = 4 persons there just to wait for the 'prince' to finish his piano class =..=

My jaw dropped! What is this?! 1 kid go piano class requires 4 adults to accompany? Unless they have some unhappy experience, else I really can't think of any reason why they are doing so. What if next time, when the kid has grown up, goes dating with his love one, also required 4 persons to accompany, or maybe more? ewww ...

This has also brought me back to what I seen in Singapore. While I was waiting for taxi, I saw a teenager coming down from an apartment with a maid (maid again, why kids nowadays so hang fuk one?!) carrying his school bag (I can see with my own eyes, the bag wasn't very big and heavy, ok!?!) =..=

When the mother's car approached, the maid helped him to carry his school bag to the car, only then the maid walked up to the apartment.

Sigh, I see liao, very boh lat! What the heck! -______-

Jam! Jam! Jam!

When the Spring opened, I was pretty impressed with their systematic traffic arrangement. They have signages displayed on the post, as well as security guards to direct the traffic. The traffic wasn't that terrible until you have to stuck on the road for more than 1 hour just to get into the basement parking.



However, that doesn't last very long. Just last weekend, I noticed one of the entrances was blocked and there's a long queue to get into the basement parking. Besides, there's always a massive jam at the basement carpark where everyone is waiting for their turn to drive out from the basement / looking for parking space. And, I don't see any security guard there to direct the traffic at the basement.


At one point of time, all the lightings at the basement were turned off. I guess they didn't realise got such massive jam at the basement.

I hope this won't happen so often because I want to go there shopping ler ~ Then again, this is just my own experience, no offence ya ~

Boulevard Shopping Complex

I went for a stroll at Boulevard few days after its opening. I can still see a massive jam along Jalan Datuk Tawi Sili. I can even see cars parked at the residential area near Seng Goon Garden, oh my!

However, I didn't see it very jam at the basement car park, wonder why is it so?

Lobby

I can see there are a lot of shops still under renovation, only a few retailers have started their business. And yet the place is so congested, wonder why is it so?


There's a rounded counter at the lobby which I guess is the information counter, but I didn't see any labelling nor sign board. Besides, I don't see any directory floor plan also, too small to have it [shutup =X]? Or, not ready yet? I have a feeling they are very eager to open the Boulevard and thus very rush, wonder why is it so?

Anyway, I believe Kuching people deserves some new places to shop and hang out, not just limited to a few of shopping complexes we have now. Agree?

Sucksmyx Die Again

My broadband couldn't get connected last night, don't know why. The error message returned was "Please check your username and password".

I tried to call the hotline, but didn't get through "Your call is important to us, we will attend to you shortly".

Later, my friend SMS me, he told me that he can't connect to the internet.

This morning, my colleagues also told me that last night he couldn't connect to the internet as well.

Seems like last night a lot areas broadband got problem jor ~~~~

Something Better Can Be Done

Don't know how's the flood in Sibu now, but the news say the situation get worsen and certain areas residents are evacuated. I come across a corner that illustrates some "people" pay a visit to the victims at rescue centre and show their cooking skill. Oh my god, don't you think something better than cooking can be done?!!! =\

I wonder what's the feeling of sitting on this chair? Imagine some is grasping your ass like this?

One Cent

Our government has announced to fully implement the rounding mechanism to the nearest 5 cents for over-the-counter payments by 1st April 2008. It was believed that the implementation would benefit both consumers and businesses.

In my humble opinion, we pay one or two cents extra for some bills while saving one or two cents in another bill, the prices even out eventually. So, I don't see much benefits or impacts for consumers except we don't have to carry around the one cent coins. Perhaps it will help to reduce few grams from your wallet laa ... or you don't have to dig out one cent coins over the counter.

According to Bank Negara Malaysia's assistant governer Datuk Mohd Nor Mashor, countries such as Australia, Denmark, Finland, New Zealand and Singapore had successfully implemented the mechanism. Let's us hope it will turn out well in Malaysia too, ummm..Malaysia Boleh!!! maaa~ However, a question for us to ponder upon....what if .... what if the retailers exploit the mechanism and tag the items end with 3, 4, 8 and 9 cents so that they can round up to the nearest multiple of 5 cents?


Afterall, what would you do with your one cent coins from now onward as it will be phased out gradually? Spend all the one cent coint you have? Frame up the one cent coins? Kept in your treasure box? Who knows hundred years later, it will be very valuable wor? =P

Building A Chopper From Junk

During the flight to Sibu, I came across this article about building a chopper from junk. There's a 24 years old physics undergraduate from Nigeria - Mubarak Muhammad Abdullahi, uses pieces of old cars and motorbikes in the back yard at home and builds his own helicopter from parts.

According to him, the helicopter is powered by a second hand Honda Civic car engine and kitted out with seats from an old Toyota saloon car. While other parts come from the carcass of a Boeing 747 which crashed near Kano some years ago.

All these sound impressive to me and I would just say this guy is so smart , so brilliant and so creative (but not until i have a crash on him yet laa, bleeekkk! =P). However, he said the government response to his chopper project has been underwhelming. Sorry to hear that. =(

Afterthat, I started to think: What if this guy is from Malaysia? What if the project is funded by Malaysia government? What if the project is sponsored by Perodua and Proton (since that Nigerian guy uses Honda and Toyota parts)? How would the helicopter looks like?

I've reached Sibu safely and the flight doesn't delay. However the weather doesn't seem to be very good, the sky was quite cloudy. Thus, it was quite shakky inside the plane. @____@

This is what happen at the arrival hall where there is 2 flight landed around the same time, it's so congested!

After the plane has landed and before the fasten seatbelt sign is turned off, everyone get up from their seats and unload their baggages from the overhead compartment. While waiting for our turn to get down from the plane, I overheard a phone conversation, well, actually is that uncle speak too loud.

uncle: "hello, eh, I don't dare to pick up your phone just now ... the plane still flying"

Memoirs of Mid-Autumn Festival

Today is the 15th day of the 8th month of Lunar calendar, this is the day which Chinese celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival. During this celebration, Chinese kids like to carry brightly lit lantern under the fullmoon light. I used to do that with the kids in my neighbourhood when I was young, it's really really a sweet sweet time!

During my time, most of the lanterns are made of nicely painted paper, an adjustable metal plate to hold the candle and copper wire for you to hang on a stick. The lanterns come in many shapes, there're square, oval, rounded, .etc. Whereas, those lanterns made of plastic with small bulb to light on are not that common and is not cheap.

As time goes by, the lanterns design become more and more keh si than my olden days. During this festival, you can easily find a cartoon lantern than can play music. There're even lantern that can blow bubbles. On top of this, something draw my attention, look at this.

Heck, they even fix LED lights for the paper type of lantern =.= You just need to turn the switch on and off, instead of putting in the candle and light it. I don't how about you, for me I still prefer to light on with candle though you may say LED light is safer for kids.

Suckling Pig Also Need Sun Bath

One afternoon I went out lunch with my colleagues, and I found these suckling pigs were exposed under the hot sun on a BBQ pit behind a restaurant kitchen. 'Helicopters' also come have a look....tsk..tsk..tsk...


Hmmmp.....I was wondering why those suckling pig need to sun bath before BBQ?...hmmpp....wonder if they do yoga also? =P

Orange Learn To Blog

After reading other people's blogs for so long, I asked myself why don't I blog too? Since is a good way to stay in touch with friends and share information. Furthermore, I can speak out my opinions and shout out loud my pekchekness, angriness .\/.
