So So Pathetic!

Next time if you see promotion flyers that sticked on walls or windows, think twice and ask in details before you order. Last Sunday, I had my lunch at a restaurant near BDC area. The waiter asked if I would like to try their promotional item, ie. stew beef served with rice, only RM3.

Ok lor, I tried lor, it's RM3 only waa. However, when the food sampai, my jaw dropped and my eye balls popped out! Want to know why? Scroll down to see ...

Kingwood Hotel, Sibu -.-

Whisper: It's good to be home!!!
As RH Hotel, Paramount Hotel and Premier Hotel were fully booked, I was arranged to stay in Kingwood Hotel yesterday. Kingwood Hotel is located at the riverbank of Rejang River (aka “Teh C Peng River”) which is quite convenient for travellers of express boat.

Superior - Single

However, this hotel is not so near to town center though you still can get around on your foot to the Sibu Central Market, pasar malam and even Wisma Sanyan.

Dressing table

On top of this, there are some expansion works going on near to existing building of Kingwood Hotel. The expansion covers the additional rooms, new apartment suites and the biggest banquet hall. And, according to the hotel spokesman, they are aiming to become the first 5-star hotel in Sibu.

Bathroom

Well, before going too far, I would say their service is fine but would they mind to relook at their existing facilities? Not only their TV programs are limited, the equipments and furniture are wore off as well. Imagine the power of the room just tripped off while you are watching TV program, only the air-cond and the entrance light were working. You can't even turn on any other lights nor TV. How creepy and spooky it was...when this happened without your knowledge and you were alone!!!! This doesn't happen once only, it keeps occurring! I'm so mad and I complaint to the receptionist, “You better do something about it!!!”.

Would you use this kettle to boil drinking water?

Last night, the power worked fine until I went to bed, so I assumed they fixed the problem already. However, this morning when I woke up, I found that the power is actually tripped off (how sound I sleep ... -____-). So, I got up to adjust the key slot and turn on all the lights.

The furniture is rather wore off

Halfway brushing my teeth, the power tripped again and the bathroom was dark =..= Then, I adjusted the key slot again and turned on the lights in the bathroom. After a while, it tripped AGAIN! !!!#@#$% Without second thought, I quickly dressed up and checked out from the hotel. I don't feel like to stay in this hotel any longer, not even 1second! What the *&^%#$%!!!!!!

Please Take Note, Canon User!

Earlier on, I've entered a post regarding my faulty camera. Now, I would like to share some of my experience here. I've sent my camera to Canon Customer Care Centre Kuching for checking.

Illustration of Canon Customer Care Centre Kuching location

The customer care centre is located at the shophouses near Jalan Tun Razak, at the opposite road is the Chung Hua Middle School No. 3. I described my problem to the receptionist. She then told me, my camera need to send to Canon KL for checking. After Canon KL have diagnosed the problem, they will check with me again if the repair is more than RM100. Well, that matched with what the salesman said previously.

Being cautious, I asked the receptionist whether I need to pay any delivery cost if I would like to send my camera to KL for checking. The receptionist told me that they will deliver the camera to KL for me without any charges, I only need to pay for the repairing cost, eg. the replacement part. And this doesn't match with what the salesman said, he told me that I must pay RM50! .\/. @#$%

So, I agree to let them deliver my camera to Canon KL for checking. The receptionist then issued a voucher for me as a reference.

For now I'm not sure the repair is good or not, as I have yet to get any feedback from them. However, I do know that I don't have to pay that RM50, which some SHOP claims as deeeeeeelivery cost! According to the salesman, if I agree to let Canon KL repair my camera after the diagnosis, then that RM50 will be rebated in my repairing cost; if I do not wish to let them repair, I can't get back that RM50 also.

I was wondering who keep that RM50 actually, as the receptionist told me they don't charge any delivery cost! (I guess you are clever enough to know the answer) I don't mind if authorised dealer charge their customer for some fair handling fee, as we don't have to trouble ourself so much, but RM50 is too much!

I mean if you are in Kuching area, I don't think driving to the customer care centre will cost you RM50. Unless you drive all the way to Sri Aman first, then baru drive to the customer care centre. But tell me, who will be so idiot to do that!
